Mortgage Checklist

Checklist for Mortgage Loans:

The expedite the processing of your application, the below information is traditionally required:

  • Application. The application should be completed in its entirety. All bank accounts, loan numbers and complete addresses should be clearly written throughout the entire application.
  • Sales Contract. If you are purchasing a property, submit a contract executed by all parties.
  • Deed. If you are refinancing a loan, please submit a copy of your deed.
  • Real Estate Tax Bill. If you are refinancing a loan, please submit a copy of your real estate tax bill.
  • Personal Federal Income Tax Returns. All applicants must complete copies of your federal income tax returns for the past two years. Re-sign (with original signature) each copy of the tax return in the space provided on page two of the tax return.
  • Business Federal Income Tax Returns. If you are self-employed, submit copies of your Business Federal Income Tax Returns for the past two years. Re-sign (with original signature) each copy of the tax return in the space provided on page two of the tax return.
  • Financial Statement. If you are self-employed, submit a current Financial Statement prepared and signed by an accountant.
  • Business Profit and Loss Balance Sheet. If you are self-employed, submit a Profit and Loss Balance sheet prepared and signed by an accountant.
  • W-2's. If you are not self-employed, provide copies of your W-2's for the past two years.
  • Additional Income. If you wish to have any additional income considered as a bases for repaying the obligation, provide evidence of any additional income (i.e. interest or dividend income - provide statements; rental property income - provide leases; alimony support - provide copy of agreement, etc.)
  • Employment Payment Stubs. Submit copies of one month consecutive pay stubs.
  • Bank Statements. Submit copies of bank statements for the past three months on all accounts that you listed in Section VI of the loan application form.
  • Escrow Deposit. Provide a copy of the cleared check (front and back).
  • Your Social Security number

 If you currently own Real Estate:

  • Mortgage account information
  • Home insurance policy information
  • Home equity account information (if applicable)
